🎉 Celebrating Two New Grants to Help Us Grow and Connect More People 🎉
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news that marks a significant milestone for Dates-n-Mates Scotland!
Thanks to the generous support of the Scottish Governments Learning Disability Support Fund, we have been awarded £179,318 over two and a half years, to support our core costs. This essential funding will allow us to continue our mission of tackling social isolation among adults with learning disabilities and helping our members build meaningful friendships, relationships, and community connections.
Core funding is crucial because it supports the people and infrastructure behind all of our events, services, and outreach. With this grant, we’ll be able to grow our impact, strengthen our team, and enhance support for our community.
We’re also incredibly pleased to have received £32,560 from the National Lottery’s Strengthening Communities Fund. This will help us launch two new social enterprise initiatives:
- 🧠 Marketing our sex and relationships training workshops to other social care organisations, ensuring more people benefit from education around healthy relationships.
- 🛍️ Developing and promoting Dates-n-Mates branded merchandise – fun, empowering items that raise awareness and support our work.
