We love to see friendships blossom, so as the 30th of July is international friendship day, we asked a few of our Dates-n-Mates members to share their friendship stories with us…
Sammy and Peter met through the Dates-n-Mates Stirling and Clackmannanshire branch.
They have a brilliant friendship and enjoy attending the bowling together. Sammy says Peter is “a great friend of mine” and recognises that they would not have met had it not been for the social events that Dates-n-Mates facilitate.
They both look forward to the bowling each month and hype up the competition with friendly banter “you’re going down”. It’s all fun and games, and they laugh and cheer each other on at the events encouraging one another.
Sammy says she loves being a part of Dates-n-Mates and has made so many friends. Her confidence in talking to new members has come so far and she is no longer shy in starting conversations with members.

Dates-n-Mates Aberdeen member, Danielle says she has met lots of good friends from Dates-n-Mates such as Craig, Rosalind and Matt.
She describes these friendships as awesome and fabulous!
