Happy 15th work anniversary, John Paul!
Dates-n-Mates began in Glasgow in 2008 to support love and friendship for adults with a learning disability. John Paul Moffat was recruited as Director right at the beginning of this journey.
15 years later…
John Paul continues to be an amazing colleague and is now National Director for Dates-n-Mates Scotland.
Anyone who has met John Paul will know how committed and passionate he is about the work we do at Dates-n-Mates. He supports all of our branches, teams and members to ensure Dates-n-Mates continues to go from strength to strength.
To celebrate this milestone work anniversary, we asked some of his colleagues to share their thoughts and messages.
John Paul is an asset to Dates-n-Mates and it’s been wonderful to see him grow into an inspiring Leader and taking on the role as National Director.
It’s a pleasure to work alongside him as he always has a smile on his face and his networking skills are amazing, he has taught me much during our time working together.

What I love about JP is his positivity! He is NEVER in a bad mood. He is one of the few people I know who is genuinely very happy and contented in his life.

I've only worked with John Paul for a year within his 15 year stretch at Dates-n-Mates, the times where we have worked together we've always had such great chats, he makes you feel so comfortable, like you're spending time with someone you've known forever! I feel like I've known him for so much longer than a year. He always remembers everyone's names, all of our members through in Stirling & Clacks. He's full of chat and remembers little details you've told him previously, always checking in on your family, pets and life. We went to TRNSMT together last year with members and it was such a great day with the sun shining, dancing and singing along to great tunes with great company! We are all really lucky to work alongside him, here's to 15 more years.
