Love & Sex is a series of workshops and training courses on sexuality, consent, sex and relationships.
Delivered throughout Scotland by Dates-n-Mates and co-led by people with a learning disability.
We tackle the taboo subjects, break down barriers and build important knowledge.
The interactive courses are designed for:
People with a learning disability
Support and care providers, and others who work with adults with learning disabilities
Educators such as schools and colleges
The Individual: Body & Sexuality
Understanding the individual, their body, sexuality and identity, alongside their rights, needs and desires.
Consent & Boundaries
Understanding consent, boundaries, appropriate touch, private and public places and the law.
All About Sex
Understanding what sex is, different sexual activities, pleasure, masturbation and contraception.
Dating & Relationships
Understanding dating, different types of relationships and communication and conflict within romantic relationships.
Safe & Healthy
Understanding how to keep safe and build healthy relationships discussing STI's, domestic abuse, and sexual violence.
Each of the above training courses are delivered through a series of interactive workshops and can be adapted to suit your needs.
A range of packages are available from individual workshops to the full 5 course bundle.
Training delivered to staff and carers will explore how to support people with a learning disability to discuss and approach these topics.
At each stage, we will tackle any discrimination, barriers, questions or worries that you may have.
