Dates-n-Mates Board
We are delighted to appoint Charlie McMillan as the new Chair of the Dates-n-Mates Board.
Charlie McMillan is an ally to people with learning disabilities and other neurodivergent people in their quest to live full, safe, loving and equal lives.
Charlie believes in the fundamental importance of relational and pro-social behaviour and work. He trained as a social worker and has had a lengthy career working for charities and NGOs in Scotland.
He is a proud member of the LGBT+ community and is committed to developing the right environment for social justice to flourish for everyone.
Charlie is also a mindfulness practitioner and recently delivered a meditation session with our colleagues for happiness at work week.
His main areas of interest include human rights, equality, diversity, strategy development, strategic leadership, co-production, business development and safeguarding. He has significant experience in both individual and collective activism, lobbying, campaigning and policy development.
Charlie is delighted to have been appointed as the Chair of the Dates-n-Mates Board.
