Dates-n-Mates Events
Dates-n-Mates is a scottish charity supporting love and friendship for adults with learning disabilities.
Social Events
Each Dates-n-Mates branch offers a regular programme of social events and opportunities for members in a variety of venues in their local community.
All events provide an inclusive, accessible, and fun environment to develop meaningful connections with other people.
Members play an active role in choosing the events their branch host by regularly suggesting ideas and providing feedback.
Alongside our member events, we also offer larger open events to celebrate seasonal occasions such as Valentines and Christmas. You do not need to be a member to attend the open events.
Our member events vary each month but always take place in typical venues such as bars, theatres, restaurants, and other cultural locations.
What events can I expect?
Our local Dates-n-Mates teams organise a wide variety of events… anything our members ask for we try to do!
Events might include:
- Meals out, bars and club nights out, festivals and cocktail making.
- Museum trips, theatre shows, cinema and bowling.
- Speed dating, blind date, take me out, relationships workshops.
- Dancing, snooker, gaming, sports, walks or cooking.
