This Volunteers Week, Dates-n-Mates are delighted to share that we have achieved Volunteer Charter Champion status.
The Volunteer Charter sets out ten key principles which help to ensure that volunteers are engaged in rewarding, appropriate and sustainable roles.
It helps to ensure that volunteers have quality volunteering experiences with adequate support and training, and protects against the engagement of volunteers to replace or undermine paid roles
Organisations that are given champion status have shown that they have suitable roles, training and procedures in place for their volunteers.
Our volunteers are a life line for Dates-n-Mates and central to our work. We ensure that our volunteers enjoy their experiences with us, feel supported and most importantly feel valued. We are proud to be Volunteer Charter Champions!
